Ribbed washer (SD) and TD 21 SD

Product description

With the test report for impact sound reduction. Soundproof washers under stairs, landings, ceilings help to suppress infrasound noise and impact sounds in residential buildings, offices and hospitals. Profiled, unreinforced elastomeric washers are particularly suitable for this application due to their absorption properties.

In addition to silencing, they also ensure a controlled load distribution and prevent edge damage of adjacent components. The tested improvement in sound insulation is at least 27 dB with loads ranging from 0.1 to 1.0 N/mm2 compared to the rigid support. The load of 0.3 N/mm2 allows noise reduction by as much as 31 dB.

The delivery:  in a 10 m long roll, 200 mm wide or cut on request. The profile is notched. This allows to cut strips 50 mm or 100 mm wide.

Fire resistance

SD washers have fire tests carried out in the Fire Research Laboratory of ITB (Laboratorium Badań Ogniowych ITB).
They have the REI 120 fire resistance class.
When selecting washers, the guidelines contained in the Technical Assessment No. 01155/17/Z00NZP should be taken into account.

The summary of the acoustic insulation test of the SD ribbed washer

SD ribbed washers from RUBA, while maintaining excellent soundproofing properties, can be used in a wide range of loads from 0.1 N/mm² to 1.0 N/mm². They ensure then impact sound reduction at the level of at least 27 dB. The best silencing parameters (31 dB) are achieved with a pressure of 0.3 N/mm2.
